बन्दी bandī[S. विन्दन् , वन्दी], s.m. Prisoner, captive, slave;—one who praises or extols, praiser, panegyrist, bard (these bards are regarded as belonging to a distinct tribe called Bhāṭ):—bandī-jan, s.m.
