ऐंचना aiṅćnā, एंचना eṅćnā, ईंचना īṅćnā[aiṅć˚= Prk. आयंछ(इ) or आइंछ(इ)=S. आकआयर् (ित), the fut. (used in the sense of the present) of rt. आ+कृष् ], v.t. To draw, pull, drag, attract; to string up, hang (usually aiṅć-denā); to draw or rule (a line, etc.); to write, scribble; to sketch; to keep or hold back or aloof:—eṅć-tān-ke, adv. With difficulty, by hook or by crook:—aiṅć-denā, intens. of and=aiṅćnā:—aiṅć-lena, v.t. To draw out; draw up, draw in, imbibe, absorb, suck up; to take, take in; to take away by force, carry off (usually eṅć-le-jānā), wring from, extort.
