ऊख ūkh[S. इक्षु ], s.f. (in H. also m.), Sugar-cane, Saccharum officinarum (in N.W. India generally called īkh):—ūkn-rāj, ūkh-bhoj, s.m. The day on which the planting of the sugar-cane begins (it is generally attended with some festive ceremonies):—ūkh-ras, s.m. Sugar-cane juice.
