अमृ त amr̤it (अ+मृ त, rt. मृ ; 'not dead'; 'causing immortality,' etc.) = H امرت अमिरतamrit, इमिरत imrit, इमरत imrat; vulg. amirt, s.m. The nectar conferring immortality; ambrosia, the drink of the gods, the water of life; anything sweet; any pleasant drink; a guava; immortality; final emancipation:—amrat-bān, imrat-bān (amr̤it+vān), s.m. A variety of the plantain (kelā); a glazed or china jar (=martabān):—imrit-bānī, s.f. Sweet speech, honeyed words:—amr̤it-rūpī, adj. Possessing immortality, immortal:—amrit-kā ćhīṅṭādenā, v.t. To sprinkle with the water of life, to restore to life.
