اماوس

अमावस amāvas, = S ی اماواس अमावासीamāvāsī, = S اماوسی अमावसी amāvasī, = S اماوسیا अमावःया amāvasyā, [S. अमा+वाःया, rt. वस् ], s.f. The night during which the moon and sun are in conjunction; the first day of the first quarter on which the moon is invisible; the night of new moon; the last day of the dark fortnight.
