अखाड़ा akhāṛā[S. अक्ष+पाट+कः], s.m. Arena, wrestling-ground, palæstra; place for exercise; any place of assembly; gymnasium; circus; theatre; court;—band, assembly, class; a sect of HindūSādhus (e.g. nārāyaṇīakhāṛā).
