अधम adham, adj. Mean, vile, contemptible, very lowest; inferior, low, humble, wretched;—s.m. A low person; a vile wretch; meanest or most unworthy person:—adhamādham, adj. The vilest of the vile, exceedingly vile:—adham-dhāran, s.m. An epithet of the Deity (as He who affords support to the lowest and most unworthy).
