हंण्डाor हंडा ु huṇḍā[S. हण्ड ु +कः, rt. हण्ɬ ु =भुण्ɬ], adj. (f. -ī), Wanting horns (an ox, etc.), etc. (i.q. muṇḍā, q.v.);—s.m. A monopoly; a farm; a contract:—huṇḍā-bhāṛā, s.m. A contract or agreement (for the transportation of goods) in which the payment of all tolls and duties, and all charges for hire, etc. are included; a lump-contract;—insurance (on goods; syn. bīmā):—huṇḍā-bhāṛā-wālā, s.m. One who makes the kind of contract described above;—an insurer:—huṇḍā-bail, s.m. A blockhead, a numskull.
