हत ु huta, vulg. hut (rt. hu), part. Offered with fire; poured forth (as ghīinto the sacred fire), burnt as an oblation, sacrificed;—(S. hutam), s.m. Offering, oblation, sacrifice:—hutāśan, vulg. hut-āsan, or hut-bhuk (base hutabhuj), s.m. 'Oblation-eater,' an epithet of Agnior fire.
