हाथा hāthā[Prk. हत्थओ; S. हःत+कः], s.m. The hand, etc. (i.q. hāth):—hāthā-pā`ī, or (dialec.) hāthā-bāṅhī, s.f. Hitting and kicking; scuffling or sparring (between two or more people, whether in play or in anger), fighting, pulling and hauling, scuffle, struggle, tussle:—hāthā-pā`īkarnā, To scuffle, spar, to pull and haul, to struggle, etc.:—hātha-phaćī, s.f. A kind of rough game:—hāthā-joṛī, s.f. The plant Lycopodium imbricatum, or Heliotropium indicum:—hāthā-ćhāṅṭī, s.f. Peculation, embezzlement;—unfair dealing:—hāthā-hāthī(cf. S. hastā-hasti), Passing from hand to hand, handing about.
