mut̤laq (pass. part. of اطلق 'to make or render free, or unrestricted, or unconditional,' etc., iv of طلق 'to be or become loosened,' etc.), adj. Freed, free, unrestricted, unconfined; unconditional; indefinite; unrestrained, uncontrolled; not shackled; independent, absolute, entire, universal; principal, supreme;—adv. Wholly, entirely, altogether, absolutely; at all; not in the least, never:—mut̤laqu`l-’inān, adj. Having the reins loose; free, independent, uncontrolled;—unconcerned:—mut̤laq wakālat-nāma, s.m. A document conveying absolute authority to an agent or representative; full power.
