maḥẓ(inf. n. of محض 'to possess pure milk, or milk unmixed with water,' etc.), adj. & adv. Pure, unmixed, unalloyed; only, mere, simple, sheer, absolute, entire;—purely; merely; solely, entirely, utterly, absolutely, quite:—maḥẓdast-ḵẖat̤, s.m. 'Mere signature,' a blank endorsement:—maḥẓdastḵẖat̤karnā(-par), To put nothing but the signature (on); to endorse in blank; to give carte blanche:—maḥẓg̠alat̤, adj. Quite wrong:—maḥẓg̠air-mumkin, adj. Absolutely impossible:—maḥẓfiqra-bāzī, A mere playing with words; sheer device or trickery:—maḥẓqaid, s.f. Simple imprisonment:—maḥẓnā-ćīz, s.f.
