tāsa (prob. for vulg. Ar. طاسة tāsat = tasht), s.m. A sort of tambourine, a tabor, a kettle-drum:—tāsa-nawāz, s.m. One who plays on the tāsa:—tāsa-nawāzī, s.f. Beating the tāsa, playing on the tambour:—tāsamarfā, s.m. A kettle-drum and drum:—tāsemarfe-wāle, s.m. pl. A band of (Indian) musicians.
