शािलवाहन śāli-vāhan (prob. fr. śālavāhan), vulg. sālivāhan, s.m. Name of a celebrated ancient sovereign of India, whose capital was Pratishṭhān on the Godāvarī(he was the institutor of the era now called śāka, and the enemy of Vikramāditya).
