ریوڑي

रेवड़ी rewṛī, re`oṛī[S. रेव+ṛī= Prk. िडआ=र(or ट)+इका], s.f. A kind of sweetmeat (a small cake of solidified sugar covered with sesamum-seeds):—re`oṛī-ke phermeṅ ānāor paṛnā, 'To fall into the complication of the re`oṛī'; to be involved in difficulties, to find oneself in a difficulty, to be disconcerted or discomfited (the allusion is to a game founded on the principle of geometrical progression, where one bets that he will eat the sum of the reoṛīsobtained by doubling one reoṛīa certain number of times, and is confounded at finding it amount to a quantity far exceeding his expectation).
