ḥarakat, vulg. ḥarkat (for A. حركة ḥarakat, fem.; v.n. fr. حرك 'to move'), s.f. Motion, action, movement, proceeding; gesture, gesticulation; act, deed; an improper or bad action, misdemeanour, fault, minor offence, crime; fornication, adultery;—agitation, commotion; opposition, interruption, prevention, hindrance; loss, damage;—a short vowel, a vowel-point:—ḥarakat denā(-ko), To set in motion, to move:—ḥarakat-ě-rozāna, s.f. Diurnal motion (of the planets):—ḥarakat-ě-sālāna, s.f. Annual motion:—ḥarakat karnā, v.n.
