िबलाई bilā`ī[S. िवडाली], s.f. A she-cat; a grater for scraping pompions, etc.:—bilā`ī-kand, s.m. lit. 'Cat's-root'; the shrub Pueraria tuberosa, or Hedysarum tuberosum (the large tuberous roots of which are eaten, and are also used for poultices and as a cooling medicine; it is commonly found in the sub-Himālayan tract from the Indus to Sikkim, and is exported from Kamaun to the plains:—cf. billī-loṭan).
