एड़ी eṛī[eṛ, q.v.+S. इका], s.f. Heel:—eṛīdekhor dekho, lit. 'Look at (your, -apnī) heels'; look at home (a phrase used by Mohammadan women to obviate the effect of evil eye):—eṛiyāṅragaṛnā, eṛiyāṅghisnā, To drag the heels in walking; to rub the heels (against the bed in dying); to be in straitened circumstances, to be in distress, or in agony.
