औं धा auṅdhā, oṅdhā[S. अधो+मुःवः], adj. (f. -ī), With the face down; upset, upside down, overturned, inverted, topsy-turvy, in utter confusion, ruined; adverse (as fortune); crooked, distorted;—s.m. Blockhead, fool:—auṅdhābaḵẖt, s.m. Adverse fortune, misfortune:—auṅdhāleṭnā, v.n. To lie on the face:—auṅdhīpeshānī, adj. Crooked-headed; ill-fated, unlucky, unfortunate; shortsighted:—auṅdhe-muṅh, adv. On the face, with the face or head down; head-foremost, headlong:—auṅdhe-muṅh dūdh pīnā, lit.'To suck with the face down'; to act like a child, to be silly, ignorant, etc.
