अकड़ना akaṛnā[S. अङ्क,—rt. अञ्च् ,—+करणीयं ;—cf. also वब], v.n. To be or become crooked, twisted, contorted, distorted, contracted, etc., to be bent double with cramp, spasms, draw up the limbs in pain, to writhe; to become stiff, rigid, hard, etc.; to be frozen, paralyzed, etc.;—to be affected, pompous, vain, or conceited, to strut, swagger, move or go proudly, to bridle; to assume an arrogant or insolent air; to look defiantly (at), be ready to pick a quarrel (with, -se); to find fault (with), be displeased (at, -meṅ).
