जरा jarā, s.f. The becoming old, old age; decrepitude, the general debility consequent upon old age;—a kind of date tree, Mimusops kauki;—name of a female demon (worshipped for having united the two halves into which king Jarāsandh was divided at his birth):—jarātur (jarā+ātur), adj. & s.m.
