تقیہ

taqīya (for A. تقیة taqīyat, fem., inf. n. of تقی ), s.m. Fearing God, fear (of God), piety; caution (=taqwā); pious fraud or subterfuge (allowable in certain cases; e.g. in the case of a Shīa'svisiting Mecca as a pilgrim, and calling himself a Sunnī).
