چپنی

चपनी ćapnī(see ćapnā), s.f. A flat lid or cover (of a cooking pot; syn. sar-posh; cf. ḍhaknī); a saucer;—the cap of the knee, knee-pan;—the crown of the head:—ćapnī-bhar pānī-meṅ(or pānīleke) ḍub-marnā, 'To drown oneself in a saucer-full ofwater'; to be greatly abashed:—ćapnī ćāṭnā, 'To lick the pot-lid'; to be contented with little.
