परवान parwān[S. ूमाण], adj. Authentic, true, etc. (see pramāṇ);—s.m. The yard (of a sail):—parwān ćaṛhnā, v.n. To grow up, grow, increase, thrive, prosper, flourish; to be married (a phrase peculiar to women).
