`adāwat (v.n. fr. عدو 'to act corruptly'; 'to hate,' etc.), s.f. Enmity, hostility, resentment, hatred, hate, animosity, vindictiveness, malice:—`adāwat bi`l-qaṣd, s.f. Deliberate malice, malice prepense:—`adāwat rakhnā(-se), To bear enmity (to), to bear malice (towards):—`adāwat-se, adv. Through enmity; maliciously; feloniously:—`adāwat nikālnā(apnī), To gratify (one's) resentment or animosity, to avenge oneself.
