सहॐ sahasra, vulg. sahasr, adj. A thousand (syn. hazār):—sahasrārjun (˚ra + ar˚), An epithet of Arjun (see sahasra-bāhu):—sahasrāksha, or sahasrākshi (˚ra + ak˚), adj. 'Thousand-eyed'; Argus-eyed, all-seeing, allinspecting, vigilant;—s.m. An epithet of the god Indra:—sahasrānan (˚ra+ān˚), adj. 'Thousand-faced'; 'thousand-mouthed';—s.m. 'The thousand-faced one,' an epithet of Vishṇu; an epithet of Śeshnāg (q.v.):—sahasra-bāhu or sahasra-bhuja, adj. Having a thousand arms;—s.m.
