संःकःकृत saṅskr̤it, part. & s.m. Carefully or accurately formed, artificially made, or produced, or constructed, artificial, elaborated, highly wrought, refined, polished, perfected, completed, finished; decorated, ornamented, embellished; excellent, best; cleansed, purified; consecrated, hallowed, sanctified; initiated; married;—language formed by accurate grammatical rules; refined, or polished, or highly-wrought speech; the sacred and classical language of the Hindūs:—saṅskr̤itānuyāyī(˚ta+anu˚), adj. & adv. Sanskritized; having relation to the Sanskrit language; in accordance with the Sanskrit; after the manner of the Sanskrit.
