समझना samajhnā, (dialec.) समुझनाsamujhnā[samujh˚or samajh˚= Prk. संवुजझ(इ)=S. सम्बुध्य(ते), rt. सम् +बुध् ], v.t. & v.n. To perceive, know, understand, comprehend, apprehend; to learn;—to think, consider, conceive, suppose, deem, imagine, fancy; to think highly of, to consider as good or excellent or remarkable;—to come to an understanding (with, -se), to look (to one, for explanation, or payment, etc.), to settle accounts (with, either fig. or lit.), to be even (with):—samajh-būjhnā= samajhnā:—samajhjānā(-ko), and samajh-lenā, v.t. intens. of and = samajhnā.
