سرایت

sirāyat (for A. سرایة , inf. n. of سري 'to travel by night,' etc.), s.f. Travelling by night; nightly journey; passing from one thing (or part) to another, penetrating, penetration, pervading, creeping (in or through); contagion, infection:—sirāyat karnā(-meṅ), To creep (in or through), to pervade, permeate; to circulate; to extend (to);—to affect by contagion, to infect, to corrupt, taint.
