ḵẖidmat (for A. خدمة , inf. or v.n. of خدم 'to serve'), s.f. Service, attendance, ministry; employment, business, office, appointment, function, duty; use:—ḵẖidmatrasīda, adj. Past service; worn out:—ḵẖidmat karnā(-kī), To serve, wait (on), minister (to); (fig.), to serve out, to beat; to satirize:—ḵẖidmat-gār, A serving-man, a servant, a tableservant; a butler:—ḵẖidmat-gārī, s.f. Service, ministry, attendance; readiness to serve:—ḵẖidmat-guẕār, adj. & s.m. Ready to serve, forward, obliging;—a willing or faithful servant:—ḵẖidmat-guẕārī, s.f.
