थम्भना thambhnā[thamb˚= Prk. थम्भ(इ)=S. ःतम्भ(ते), rt. ःतम्भ् ], v.n. To be arrested; to stand still, to stop, cease, give over; to be still or quiet, be restrained; to be supported; to support oneself, to rest; to recover, right oneself (after a stumble, etc.):—thambh-jānā, v.n. Intens. of and=thambhnā.
