تحریمہ

taḥrīma[for A. تحریمة taḥrīmat, fem.; from taḥrīm, inf. n. ii of حرم 'to be prohibited,' etc.], s.m. The saying allāhǒakbar, "God is great,' at the commencement of prayer; the commencement of prayer (when the person praying is prohibited, by uttering the takbīr, from saying and doing anything extraneous to prayer);—assumption of a pilgrim's garb (since this entitles the person to reverence or respect).
