थाल thāl = H تھالا थाला thālā[S. ःथालं , and ःथाल+कं], s.m. A large flat plate or dish of metal (usually brass, or bell-metal); a tray;—(thālā), the basin or trench dug round the root of a tree for holding water; the excavation in which a tree is to be planted.
