बरस baras [S. वषर् ], s.m. Year;—raining, rain:—baras-badhāwā, s.m. A Hindūmarriage ceremony (the taking away from the bride at the close of the first year after marriage the god or bundle of cocoanut, rice, etc. given to her at the time of marriage):—baras-bhar, baras-din, baras-roz, s.m.
