(f. -ā), Changed in disposition or feeling, disaffected, estranged, alienated; averse (to); disgusted (with), wearied (of); indifferent (to); disinclined; dégagé;—inattentive;—free from passion or affection; void of attachment to worldly objects (cf. the pop. forms birakt, birkat);—feeling excessive passion (for), impassioned; attached (to), fond (of), pleased (with);—s.m. One who is free from passion, etc.;—a kind of ascetic who has renounced the world:—virakt-bhāv, adj. Having the heart or affections estranged, disinclined (to), averse (to), disliking;—s.m. Disinclination, aversion, etc.
