لنگوٹ

लंगोट laṅgoṭ[Prk. िलंगवट्टो=S. िलङ्ग+पट्ट:], s.m. A waist-cloth; a cloth worn between the legs to conceal the privites (a strip of cloth about two feet long and six or eight inches broad, passed between the legs, and the ends tucked into a waist-band before and behind):—laṅgoṭbāṅdhnā, To tie (or put) on a laṅgoṭ; to gird up one's loins (for, -par):—laṅgoṭ-band, s.m. A bandage to which the laṅgoṭis fastened;—one devoted to celibacy (lit.'one who keeps his laṅgoṭfastened'), a confirmed bachelor:—laṅgoṭ-phal, s.m. Membrum virile:—laṅgoṭ-kāsaććā, s.m. An ascetic (lit.'true to his laṅgoṭ'):—laṅgoṭkasnāor khaiṅćnā, To pull tight and fasten the laṅgoṭ:—laṅgoṭkholnā, To open (or unfasten) the laṅgoṭ;—to have sexual intercourse (with):—lāl laṅgoṭ-wālā, s.m. (f. -ī) A monkey; an epithet of Hanumān.
