g̠aẓab (inf. n. of غضب 'to be angry'), s.m. Anger, passion, wrath, rage, fury, vengeance; wrong, impropriety, injustice, oppression, outrage;violence, force, compulsion;—a curse, calamity, affliction, woe, a fearful thing, an awful event;—adj. & s.m. Angry, wrathful, offended, etc.; fearless, daring; outrageous; great, excessive, intense, tremendous, awful, fearful, dreadful, shocking; woeful, calamitous, injurious, hurtful, detrimental (to, -ke ḥaq-meṅ);—too good; very fine, splendid, dazzling, very beautiful; wonderful, rare, extraordinary, unique;—an oppressor, etc. (=g̠aẓabī); a fearless man, a dare-devil:—g̠aẓab-ālūda, adj. Full of rage, enraged, wrathful, indignant; oppressive, etc.:—g̠aẓab paṛnā, or g̠aẓab ṭūṭnā(-par), To be visited by (the) wrath (of God), to be overtaken by calamity or affliction:—g̠aẓab toṛnā, or g̠aẓab ḍhānā(-par), To visit (one) with wrath, to wreak vengeance (on); to practise cruel oppression (on), etc.:—g̠aẓab ḵẖudā-kā, 'The wrath of God';—have some fear of God's wrath! good gracious! how shocking! how fearful! (a phrase used when one sees or hears another saying or doing something outrageous or revolting):—g̠aẓab karnā(rustic, gajab ghālnā), v.n.
