`araq, vulg. `arq (inf. n. of عرق 'to sweat'), s.m. Sweat; exuded moisture, exudation; moisture, sap, juice, liquor; extract, essence, spirit; the root (of anything):—`araq-ālūda, adj. Covered with sweat, sweaty:—`araq ānā(-ko), To sweat, be covered with sweat (through shame or fear):—`araq-rezī, s.f. Sweating; toil and sweat, hard labour or exertion, severe application:—`araq `araq honā, v.n.
