युिधिƵर yudhishṭhir (yudhi, loc. of yudh, 'battle' + sthira, 'firm or steady'), s.m. Name of the eldest of the five reputed sons of Pāṇḍu (he was the leader of the great war, related in the Mahā-bhārat, between the Pāṇḍavs and the Kurus, in the beginning of the Kali-yug).
