गंछेला gaṅṭhailā, adj. (f. -ī) = gaṭhīlā, q.v. P H گنج गंज ganj (S. गञ्जः), s.m. (in Pers., Urdū, and Hindī), A store, hoard; treasure; hidden treasure; a treasury; a magazine, granary, store-house, grain-market; -- 0917 -- an emporium for grain; a place of merchandize, a market, mart; a case (of instruments, or brushes, or razors, etc.);—a heap, pile, stack, rick (of grain, or hay, or wood, etc.);—(in Hindī) a mine; jewel-mine; jewel-room; place where plate, etc. is preserved;—a tavern;—disrespect, contempt:—ganj-baḵẖsh, adj. Generous, liberal, lavish, profuse, extravagant:—ganj-ě-shahīdān, s.m. The burial-place of martyrs; a catacomb:—ganj-ě-gāv, s.m.
