गाढ़ा gāṛhā[S. गाढ+कः, rt. गाɯ], adj. (f. -ī), Thick (as cloth, etc., or a fluid mixture of any kind), close, dense, gross; muddy, turbid; close, intimate (friendship); deep (sleep, colour, etc.); stout, substantial; strong (infusion, etc.); stiff, difficult, arduous; sturdy, compact; bold, undaunted, valiant (in fight); sly, shrewd, knowing, wise, proficient, adept, smart;—s.m. A kind of coarse, thick cloth.
