डाण्डी, डांडी ḍāṅḍī[Prk. दंिडआ=S. दण्ड+इका], s.f. The beam of a pair of scales;—a carpet swung on a pole and carried on the shoulders of two men (used for the conveyance of residents in the hills, and called in English 'a dandy').
