चूणर् ćūrṇa, vulg. ćūrn, and H. चूरन ćūran, s.m. Powder, any minute particle of substance; flour; dust; aromatic powder, pulvil, pounded sandal, etc.; a digestive powder (composed of ground spices, dried green mangoes, limes, etc.); fossil alkali, efflorescent salt:—ćūrṇa-khaṇḍ, s.m. A pebble, gravel, hardened fragment of earth or brick; limestone nodule (com. called kaṅkar):—ćūrna-man, adj. Broken-hearted, repentant, contrite.
