चौधां ćaudhāṅ[Prk. चउƧहोand चउƧहओ; S. चतुर् + दशःand दश+कः], adj. Fourteen:—ćauda-gun-nidhān, s.m. 'Receptacle of fourteen virtues'; one who possesses all qualities, a paragon of excellence:—ćaudahoṅ, adj. The whole fourteen, the fourteen:—ćaudahoṅbhuvan, s.m. The fourteen worlds or states of existence (viz. the earth, the six that are above it, and the seven that are below it):—ćaudahoṅratn, s.m. The fourteen treasures that were produced at the churning of the ocean:—ćaudahoṅ-lok, s.m.=ćaudahoṅbhuvan, q.v.:—ćaudahoṅvidyā, s.f. The fourteen branches of learning taught in the system of the Hindūs.
