चांदला ćāṅdlā[ćāṅd+Prk. अडआ=S. अ+रor ल+कः; or S. चन्िकः], s.m. A wafer-like ornament of gold or tinsel worn on the forehead;—the ceremony of putting the ornament on the foreheads of persons at the drawing up of a marriage contract, as the ratification of the agreement.
