पैसा paisā[i.e. pā`īor pā`i+sā; S. पाद+इका+सदृशकः], s.m. A copper coin, a pice (the fourth partof an ānā; in value about a farthing and a half);—money, cash, wealth, riches, fortune:—paisāuṛānā(-kā), To spend money extravagantly;—to make away with the money (of another); to take the money (of another) by theft or deceit:—paisāpher-phār karnā, v.n. To turn the penny:—paisā ḍubonā, v.n. To sink money, to lay out money without return:—paisā ḍūbnā, v.n.
