पूणर् pūrṇa, vulg. pūrṇ, पूरण pūraṇ, adj. Filled, full, etc.=pūrā, q.v.:—pūrṇāhuti, vulg. pūrṇāhut (pūrṇa+āhuti), s.f. 'A complete oblation,' an offering made with a full ladle; the burnt offering which concludes or completes a ceremony:—pūrṇ-brahma, s.m. The allpervading Spirit, an epithet of the Supreme Being:—pūrṇ-bhūṭ, s.m. The complete past, the pluperfect tense (in Gram.):—pūrṇ-baināśī, adj.=pūrṇa-vaināśī, q.v.:—pūrṇ-pātra, s.m. A full vessel or cup; a cupful; a particular measure of capacity (properly 256 handfuls of rice); a vessel full of rice presented at a sacrifice to the superintending and officiating priests; a box or basket filled with clothes and ornaments scrambled for by guests and relations at a festival, or distributed as presents:—pūrṇ-pratāpī, s.m. One whose glory is complete:—purṇ-polī, s.f. A kind of bread:—pūrṇa-jyā, s.f. Chord (of an arc):—pūrṇ-ćundra, s.m. The full moon:—pūrṇa-mā, s.f.=pūrṇ-māsī, q.v.:—pūrṇ-mās, s.m. Full moon; a monthly sacrifice or ceremony performed on the day of full moon:—pūrṇ-māsī, pūrṇ-vāsī, s.f. Full-moon, the day or night of full moon:—pūrṇ-kām, adj. & s.m. Having the desires fulfilled, savisfied, satiated;—one whose desires are fulfilled, etc.:—pūrṇ-kumbha, s.m. A full cup or jar; a water-vessel, a vessel filled with holy water used at the consecration of a king.
