ूःथान pra-sthān, vulg. parasthān, s.m. Going forth, setting out, departure, march, the march of an army or of an assailant; the first stage of a march or journey:—prasthān karnā, v.n. To go forth, go away, change (one's) residence, to set out, depart, march; to send baggage, etc. on the first stage of a journey on some propitious day or moment (=pā-turāb, q.v.s.v. pā).
