पत्थर patthar, पथर pathar [S. ूःतरः; Prk. पत्प्यरो], s.m. Stone, rock; precious stone, gem; hailstone; anything hard, troublesome, trying, intolerable, etc.;—adj. Hard; hardhearted; heavy; dull; difficult; disagreeable, intolerable, etc.:—patthar-bāz, s.m. One who plays at stone-throwing; one who is fond of, or is addicted to, throwiug stones;—patthar-bāzī, s.f. Stone-throwing; fondness for stonethrowing:—patthar barasnā, v.n. To hail:—patthar pānīho-jānā, v.n.
