पापड़ pāpaṛ,[S. पपर् टः], s.m. Crust, thin layer; scale, scab; thin crisp cake made of any pulse (esp. of mūṅg); thin light soil, fertile soil:—pāpaṛbelnā, v.n. To roll out thin crisp cakes; to undergo great hardship or suffering; to labour hard on insufficient means; to eke out a scanty livelihood.
